Anchors Section is the youngest section of Boys’ Brigade. At Epping Baptist Church, our Anchors is for boys that are in Kindergarten to Year 2 of school. Following on from Anchors, boys are invited to continue with Boys’ Brigade through Juniors Section. Anchors meets once a week during school term times on Wednesday nights from 6.30pm till 8.00pm.
Each week the group hears a Bible story, maybe do a craft activity to take home to their family, and learn to play new games. Other activities include cooking, painting and learning how to clean up!
Each attendee will receive achievement awards for the activities they undertake through the year as well as service badges for good attendance at the end of the year at our annual presentation night held in December. Upon transitioning to the Juniors section they are able to wear an Anchors participation badge.
Some of our Anchors go on and become our longest serving and best boys. Although they are the youngest members they are very important. Anchors learn to follow instructions and gain confidence playing team games.
